SURFACE PREPARATION:
Wipe the surface with a rag soaked in paint thinner to remove grease, oil, wax and other foreign matter. For new galvanized surfaces, etch the surface by applying 10% BOYSEN® Metal Etching Solution B-71 (Dilute 1 part of B-71 to 9 parts water). Rinse with water and dry immediately.

Unpainted galvanized surfaces that have been exposed for 6 months or more need not be etched.

Treat rusted steel by sanding and wire brushing. Use BOYSEN® Metal Etching Solution B-71 on remaining rust. Let it stay for 10-15 minutes. Be sure to remove all remaining residue. Product should be applied immediately after treatment to prevent flash rusting.

PAINTING SCHEDULE:
Apply 2-3 coats of BOYSEN® Heat Resisting Aluminum Paint B-95 on bare substrate. Wait for first coat to dry upon reaching peak temperatures before applying the succeeding coats.
