DESCRIPTION: BOYSEN® Oil Wood Stain is available in various shades to bring out the natural tone in wood. It highlights wood grain and adds freshness and color. It provides superb protection for interior woodworks.

PRINCIPAL USES: For enhancing wood grain on interior wood works and other surfaces such as cabinets, furniture, paneling, etc.

FINISH: Flat

DRY TIME:
Touch: 2 hours
Recoat: 12 hours

THEORETICAL COVERAGE PER 4-LITERS: 25 - 30 sq.m.

SERVICE CONDITIONS: The final color achieved by any wood stain will be affected by the natural color of the wood. Even wood from the same species may vary in color. It is always recommended to test the stain first on a small area to ensure that the final color is as desired.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Sand surface until the wooden surface is smooth to the touch and no slivers or rough edges remain. Hammer all nails deep enough to apply putty. Open grain wood can be filled with BOYSEN® Natural Wood Paste Filler B-60 using a putty knife. The filler may be tinted with stain to match the desired shade. Allow the filler to set for 15 minutes then rub off excess across the grain. Let it dry overnight.

Dust off surfaces completely then wipe with a clean rag. If repainting, remove all paint by wire brushing or scraping.


PAINTING SCHEDULE:
Using a brush, apply BOYSEN® Oil Wood Stain to bare wood without primers or undercoats. Lightly brush or wipe over once along the grain to remove excess material and to smooth out any runs. Leave each coat for about 4-8 hours or until totally dry. Recoat for a darker shade.

Topcoat: BOYSEN® Clear Gloss Lacquer B-1250 or BOYSEN® Clear Dead Flat Lacquer B-1253 or BOYSEN® Water White Clear Gloss Lacquer B-1258
