BOYSEN®® Acrytex™

BOYSEN®® Acrytex™ is an acrylic, solvent-based coating that forms a seamless, non-porous, watertight film that repels water and prevents seepage. It is noted for its excellent adhesion and long-term durability. It creates a very tight film, serving as a moisture sealant for concrete and a stain inhibitor for wood.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Replace old and dilapidated wood.

For areas with paint film scrape off all loose, scaling, flaking and peeling paint manually.

For repainting substrates with chalky old paint, use BOYSEN®® Chalk Blocker™ B‑7304 as surface conditioner.

In case of mildew infestation, treat with a bleach solution (1:3, laundry bleach to water, respectively) by swabbing or brushing. To ensure proper treatment, let stand for 24 hours before cleaning off residue. Let dry.

Surface to be repainted should be clean and dry, free from dust dirt and all possible contaminants.

Check paint compatibility of BOYSEN®® Acrytex™ to the existing coating.

Use only BOYSEN®® Acrytex™ Reducer B‑1750 as thinning solvent for BOYSEN®® Acrytex™ products.

* For site-mixing pastel to medium hues, use only BOYSEN®® Acrytex™ Tinting Colors. For darker shades, you may request for factory-mixed colors by visiting accredited BOYSEN®® dealers near or within your area.
