BOYSEN®® Epoxy Enamel

BOYSEN®® Epoxy Enamel is a high quality, two-component, epoxy-polyamide system that has excellent chemical resistance.
B‑2101 and B‑2103 serve as Curing Agents designed to be compounded with Epoxy Enamel White and Epoxy Enamel Colored, respectively.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Wipe the surface with a rag soaked in paint thinner to remove grease, oil, wax and other foreign matter.
For new galvanized surfaces:
Etch the surface by applying 10% BOYSEN®® Metal Etching Solution B‑71 (Dilute 1 part of B‑71 to 9 parts water). Rinse with water and dry immediately.
Note: Unpainted galvanized surfaces that have been exposed for 6 months or more need not be etched. However, formation of rust or corrosion should be treated prior to painting.

PAINTING SCHEDULE

Primer:
BOYSEN®® Epoxy Primer Red Oxide B‑2277 or BOYSEN®® Epoxy Primer Gray B‑2230

Topcoat (2-3 coats): BOYSEN®® Epoxy Enamel

NOTES

Use only BOYSEN®® Epoxy Reducer B‑55 as thinning solvent.
Immediately apply primer after surface preparation to avoid occurrence of flash rusting.
Application of topcoat should be done within 7 days after priming to ensure good intercoat adhesion, otherwise re-application of primer is needed.
Topcoat will reach full hardness after 7 days of drying.
