BOYSEN®® Oil Wood Stain
BOYSEN®® Oil Wood Stain is available in various shades to bring out the natural tone in wood. It highlights wood grain and adds freshness and color. It provides superb protection for interior woodworks.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all existing paint or coating by manual or mechanical methods.
Hammer all nails deep enough to apply putty.
Open grain wood can be filled with wood filler.
Sand surface until wood is smooth to the touch.
Dust off surfaces completely then wipe with a clean rag.
PAINTING SCHEDULE
Using a brush, apply BOYSEN®® Oil Wood Stain to bare wood without primers or undercoats.
Lightly brush or wipe over once along the grain to remove excess material and to smooth out any runs.
Leave each coat for about 4-8 hours or until totally dry. Recoat for a darker shade.
Apply intermediate coat using BOYSEN®® Lacquer Sanding Sealer B‑1254, sanded lightly before topcoat application.
Apply clear topcoat using either BOYSEN®® Clear Gloss Lacquer B‑1250, Clear Dead Flat Lacquer B‑1253, or Water White Clear Gloss Lacquer B‑1258 depending on the preferred finish.

NOTES
Use only BOYSEN®® Lacquer Thinner B‑50 as thinning solvent.
Thoroughly shake the BOYSEN®® Oil Wood Stain can before opening.
If necessary, add approximately 10% by volume of BOYSEN®® Lacquer Flo B‑1205 to the ready-to-use topcoat mixture.
