BOYSEN®® Roofgard™ Gloss Acrylic Water-based Roof Paint

BOYSEN®® Roofgard™ is a gloss, acrylic, water-based roof paint designed to protect and adhere to galvanized surfaces. It gives a durable and flexible film and has fast drying time and good gloss retention.

SURFACE PREPARATION

For pre-painted galvanized surfaces:

Sand lightly then wipe the surface with a clean rag before applying paint. Remove all loose paint film to sound surface. Spot prime bare substrate.

For corroded galvanized surfaces:

Remove rust by wire brushing and use BOYSEN®® Metal Etching Solution B‑71. Let it stay for 10-15 minutes before washing with water.

Be sure to remove all remaining residue and dry completely. Solvent wipe then prime immediately.

PAINTING SCHEDULE

Primer (for resulting bare substrate): BOYSEN®® Red Oxide Metal Primer B‑310 or BOYSEN®® Rust-Off™ B‑330

Topcoat (2 coats): BOYSEN®® Roofgard™

NOTES

Check paint compatibility of the existing paint film to the desired new paint.

Use only BOYSEN®® Paint Thinner B‑0340 as thinning solvent for primer. BOYSEN®® Roofgard™ can be used as supplied.

Immediately apply primer after recommended surface preparation to avoid occurrence of flash rusting.
